Our Story
The Comfort Collective was founded by sisters Bridgett and Brittnee, shaped by lived experience, shared values, and a belief that care should be designed in — not added on as an afterthought.
Brittnee is the eldest sister and founder of PURR Cat Grooming Ltd, Scotland’s only cat-exclusive grooming salon. Alongside running a physical, people-facing business, she holds a PhD and teaches at the University of Glasgow within widening participation and education. Living with endometriosis and lupus — and currently undergoing medically induced menopause — has shaped a deep understanding of what it means to exist in spaces that are not designed with fluctuating energy, pain, or accessibility in mind.
Bridgett is a bridal makeup artist and mother to a toddler and a newborn. Her work centres around helping people feel like themselves on important days, often during moments that are joyful, emotional, and physically demanding. Navigating pregnancy, post-partum recovery, PCOS, and thyroid disease has made her deeply aware of how often comfort, rest, and practical support are quietly needed — yet rarely planned for.
At its heart, The Comfort Collective is about creating environments where guests feel looked after without having to explain themselves — where comfort is part of the celebration, not separate from it.
What We Do
We provide shared-access comfort and accessibility resources for events, including warmth, weather protection, mobility support, and discreet care essentials.
Rather than hiring individual items, our packages are designed around guest numbers and event type, ensuring the right level of support without overthinking or overbuying.
